Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Business Services Team for a committed and motivated individual to manage the delivery of an efficient and effective business support service across:
Strategic Commissioning, Quality and Performance headquarters division,
We are looking for an individual with a can do approach, who is able to provide expert advice and guidance on council policies, processes and procedures, appropriate legislation and regulatory requirements. They will be required to plan and co-ordinate a range of complex business service programmes and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and quality of service.
They will be required to lead a team of business services staff who support across the Children’s Services department, the role will by hybrid working and will be expected to work from the office regularly as required.
What will I be doing:
- Negotiating, persuading, and building and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels
- Supporting the Senior Business Services Manager for Strategic Commissioning, Quality and Performance and Head of Service for Business Services
- Monitoring and control of financial information and budgets
- Understanding of how the activities of the department relate to one another and how any advice given will impact on own and other services
- Generating ideas, researching, creating, writing, and delivering a variety of communications materials
- Lead on and supporting the facilitation of departmental communications across Children’s Services
- Manage and deliver support services throughout Business Services, driving a performance improvement culture.
- Management of projects, research and analysis.
- Communicating to a high standard, both written and orally.
- Supporting with formal processes such as inspections.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
