What the Role Entails:
- Reviewing work papers and ensuring appropriate evidence is documented.
- Applying knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry.
- Considering long-term perspectives of the client’s industry and identifying possible opportunities and risks for the client.
- Advising clients on practical and commercial issues and developing solutions that genuinely add value to the client’s business.
- Sharing knowledge, best practices, and industry market trends to actively increase the overall knowledge of the team.
- Meeting with clients and building positive relationships.
- Managing the workflow of the team and communicating with partners frequently on necessary matters.
- Reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Ensuring the processing of information into the Firm’s systems has been properly recorded.
- Preparing financial statements under all current, legal, and accounting reporting standards.
- Designing, developing, and analysing financial models.
- Identifying, researching, and resolving all complex accounting issues.
- Analysing management accounting reports and providing advice to clients.
- Reviewing income tax returns for individuals, companies, super funds, partnerships, and trusts.
- Delivering complex tax planning for clients.
What Qualifies You for the Role:
- Business / Commerce degree with an Accounting Major
- Completed CA or equivalent
- 5-7 years experience in Professional Services
- Previous experience managing a team
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Committed to continuing professional development
