QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Minimum one (1) year of completed post-secondary study in computer science, information systems, systems analysis, programming, or a related field
  • Familiarity with relational databases and database design


    • Knowledge of various programming and markup languages

    • Experience with web technologies including Oracle WebLogic, Microsoft IIS, Apache Tomcat, HTML, ASP, CSS
    • Understanding of business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and data mapping
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Comfortable with leading meetings and group training sessions.

    PROOF OF ENROLLMENT IN POST SECONDARY EDUCATION

    The Town of Ajax will accept any of the following to verify enrollment in a college or university program:

    • Registrar’s letter confirming enrollment and academic eligibility for the next semester.
    • Letter confirming your anticipated graduation date.
    • Letter indicating that you have more credits left to complete in your current degree.
    • Letter confirming your application to a program next term/semester at a post-secondary education establishment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Resolves operational issues with applications through collaboration with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT personnel.
    • Identifies and suggests opportunities to enhance application usage by staying up to date with application capabilities, best practices, and emerging trends.
    • Works on specific projects assigned by the Manager of Business Solutions, which may include custom work or developing solutions using the Town’s current tools. Projects may vary in scope and complexity.
