Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
This role is responsible for ensuring the critical back-office services are easily accessible to the remote and town based Aboriginal Communities of the Fitzroy Valley. The Business Support and Grants Officer plays a vital role in coordinating the varied needs for back-office services and funding to support diverse programs and businesses owned and operated by Marra Worra Worra. The position will assist streamline the processes enabling the program and business managers to focus more on serving their clients and achieving the intended outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Focus on continuous improvements by aligning the resource allocations based on business needs
· Actively seek new opportunities to obtain Government grants relevant to our clients and consult on our eligibility prior to allocating them to program teams for tender development
· Enhance the process and assist to reduce red tapes within organizations operations by taking a “internal customer service” approach.
· Provide constructive feedback to heads of different programs to improve operational efficiency with the use of modern technology. Programs requiring support and consultation include:
o The assets and facilities team with fleet management and to manage the various residential properties owned by the corporation
o The finance department by coordinating the information flow to ensure the finance department can deliver services on time and produce reliable reports for programs
o The health and safety team implement its initiatives to enhance the organization’s safety culture.
