ABOUT MAJOR EVENTS INTERNATIONAL

Major Events International (MEI) is a privately owned consultancy that has been in operation for 17 years. Our primary focus is to support multi-sport events, World Cups, and other major global sports competitions. We cater to a variety of clients, including Host Cities, International Sports Federations, broader events, and Expert Suppliers in this market. We offer support through retained contracts and annual summits, including one-to-one meetings and workshops. Commercial companies can benefit from our tiered support within a membership scheme, during which they receive introductions, market insights, and advice on business development. MEI has an extensive network of international associates and media partnerships that extend its reach and require coordination.

CANDIDATE KEY CRITERIA FOR SUCCESS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Able to use Adobe Creative Cloud programmes, including Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multi-task and manage sometimes conflicting priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Ensuring the production of presentational material and proposals are robust and represent the high standards of the business.
  • Be proficient at using Microsoft Excel and managing spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

PERSONAL QUALITIES AND SKILLS

  • At least 2 years of work experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Highly personable and projecting a credible image to clients
  • Ambition tempered with a willingness to be mentored to support personal growth

Responsibilities:

The role has three distinct elements:

  • Design and creating marketing collateral for membership, summits and partnerships
  • Event support for the annual summits, including tracking delegates and liaising with speakers and summit vendors.
  • Support key account management of International Federations and create documentation for Host Cities.
