Description:
Working in the Counselling and Recovery team at CrossReach offers more than just a job; it provides the opportunity to join an innovative and compassionate team dedicated to transforming lives across Scotland. Our therapeutic services, which cater to individuals from infancy through to adulthood, make a significant difference every day. We believe that believe that with the right support, Scotland’s children, young people and families can thrive and succeed. Our commitment is to deliver compassionate, tailored care that empowers families and supports their journey towards a brighter future.
In addition to our counselling services, CrossReach run short break and community outreach services for children with disabilities, residential houses and an education campus for young people facing emotional or behavioural difficulties, prison visitor centres for families and early years provisions to support families from a range of different backgrounds. We can offer an exciting and varied career in an organisation which puts people at the heart of what we do.
We are now looking for a Business Support Manager for our Counselling Services in the North and West of Scotland. Based in our offices in Glasgow City Centre, you will be responsible for the leadership and development of the regional business support team. Your role will involve inspiring your team to deliver high-quality support to our counselling and clinical services, fostering a culture where the team feels engaged, valued, and recognised for their contributions. This position is both varied and rewarding, without you and your support team, our clinical teams would be unable to provide the essential services our clients require.
Your responsibilities will also extend to improving client satisfaction and efficiency through reviewing, and as required implementing, systems. You will monitor and maintain administrative processes and procedures for all services, ensuring that systems are in place for regularly gathering and analysing service-user feedback and providing recommendations for improvements. Managing the Service Centres and facilities will also fall under your remit. Financial planning is another crucial aspect of the role, managing the budgets for the services and regularly monitoring performance against budget expectations. Supporting the planning and delivery of new change or transformation initiatives and facilitating growth in income-generating activities will also be important.
If you are enthusiastic about making a real difference in the lives of the children and families we support, we would love to hear from you. In addition to your enthusiasm, drive, and initiative, you should bring outstanding people management skills with a proven track record in a similar environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities are essential to persuade and influence effectively. A solid grasp of financial management will ensure that services meet or exceed financial expectations while capitalising on income opportunities. Furthermore, you should be capable of operational leadership, ensuring continuity across the business support service and stepping in for the Managing Coordinator when necessary. If you would like to discuss the role in more detail, or for an informal chat, please contact Aileen Park at Aileen.Park@crossreach.org.uk
We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that support others.
Firstly, there is access to a wide range of exclusive retail and leisure discounts through our rewards scheme and the Blue Light Discount card. We also ensure that your future and that of your loved ones is secured with a generous contributory pension plan and death in service benefit. Balancing work and family are made easier with our suite of enhanced family friendly policies and your health and wellness are prioritised with access to our health cash plan, giving you cash back for a wide range of health treatments. We even have access to a care concierge service to assist you with life’s challenges, providing invaluable support when you need it most.
But we also know that your training and development is important to you, and as well as a contribution to your professional membership fees, we are keen to support you in making the right steps to learn, grow and develop in ways that are right for you.
