Professionalism and communication are key to this role, and you must understand the importance of meeting timescales given the impact this work has on citizens lives.
The candidate should have excellent keyboard and typing skills with a high level of speed and accuracy. You will be trained on and required to use a number of different IT packages and systems for recording citizen information.

Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) team ensures people who cannot consent to their care arrangements in a care home or hospital are protected if those arrangements deprive them of their liberty. Arrangements are assessed to check they are necessary and in the person’s best interests. Representation and the right to challenge a deprivation are other safeguards that are part of DoLS.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, high quality, customer focused, flexible and timely business support to the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) Team.
You will be part of a team of Business Support Officers dealing with various queries efficiently and courteously with tact and diplomacy. You will deal with enquiries both written and verbal, from a wide range of internal and external customers, completing all documentation and correspondence accurately and to a high standard.
This role will include general administrative tasks such as minuting, maintaining systems, providing financial support via orders for goods, telephone queries and most importantly recording the progress of a DOLS in the IT system.
