Description:

An exciting opportunity has arose to join our Pharmacy, Optometry and Dental team (POD) as a Business Support Officer. This role is a key part of the business support functions to primarily support with business needs, therefore we are seeking an organised and efficient administrator to join the team.

PRIMARY CARE GROUP PROGRAMME AREAS CURRENTLY INCLUDE:

Primary Care Commissioning
Primary Care Insights and Delivery
Improving access to general practice services
Community Pharmacy strategy, contract negotiation & commissioning
Dental and Optometry strategy, contract negotiation & commissioning
In addition, the post holder may be asked to undertake any other reasonable duties required. It should be noted that as programmes are evolving portfolios may be subject to change over time as the work develops. This job description will therefore allow full flexibility for the post holder to lead priority projects in an evolving way, across the directorate.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Responsibilities:

Provide a high level, professional and confidential PA service, covering all aspects of secretarial, administrative and organisational support
Provide diary management and administrative support for the wider senior team as necessary
Arrange meetings and events and support the handling of travel and accommodation bookings
Timely preparation and circulation of agendas, secretariat/minute taking as required.
Support the Business Manager in HR and recruitment - arranging interviews, and tracking annual leave
Support procurement, including raising purchase orders and receipting invoices.
Assist in the production of reports, statistics research and other operational duties as required
Administrative support for governance and assurance requirements
Monitoring of shared inboxes including holding the pen on FOI’s etc
