Salary of £24,203 - £27093 (FTE) plus benefits including: Local Government Pension, Health Care Cash Plan, Generous Staff Discount scheme, 3 extra inset days for planning, at least one late start or early finish per fortnight.

BUSINESS SUPPORT OFFICER/RECEPTIONIST

The Hyndburn Academy are seeking to appoint a permanent Business Support Officer to be the first point of contact for parents/carers, visitors, and employees, while providing essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of the daily office operations. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, positive, flexible, and motivated individual with a personal drive. You will have the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues.

Specialisms within all the Business Support areas will be considered and discussed at interview for the right candidate, for example:

  • Reprographics
  • Marketing and Social Media
  • Finance
  • General Administration

Previous experience of working within a school environment would be advantageous.

  • Greet and assist visitors, parents/carers, and employees with a professional and friendly demeanour.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide accurate information as needed.
  • Manage and coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and couriers.
  • Provide administrative support, typing, filing, photocopying and preparation of reports.
  • Plan, organise and carry out work to strict deadlines including prioritisation of own workload, where necessary.
  • To ensure the provision of an effective and efficient office, promoting a welcoming environment for all supporting the school’s priorities and core values.
