Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Techno-Functional Business System Analyst with a strong background in payments systems and platforms, including one or more of the following - low-value and high-value payments, real-time payments, and Interac e-transfers. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience working in programs involving payment transformation and platform modernization with an understanding of microservices, APIs, and asynchronous messaging. A solid understanding of payments, expertise in ISO 20022, and familiarity with tools like Postman and Swagger are essential. Experience with fraud management systems is an added advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Education:
o Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
· EXPERIENCE:
o 6-10 years of experience as a Business System Analyst in payments technology
o Solid knowledge of low-value and high-value payment systems, real-time payments, and e-transfers
o Hands-on experience with ISO 20022 messaging standards
o Familiarity with APIs, defining and analyzing Swagger documentation, and tools like Postman
o Exposure to programs involving microservices architecture and asynchronous messaging systems
o Experience in fraud management systems is a plus
PREFERRED SKILLS:
· Knowledge of cloud-based payment solutions and related technologies
· Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence
· Experience with system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT)

Responsibilities:
· Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for payment solutions
· Work on payment systems, including low-value, high-value, real-time payments, and e-transfers, ensuring compliance with industry standards like ISO 20022
· Collaborate with development teams to define, analyze, and validate APIs and associated documentation using tools like Swagger and Postman
· Design and evaluate payment workflows, including real-time payment processes, ensuring optimal performance and compliance
· Support programs involving microservices architecture and asynchronous messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
· Conduct impact analysis, gap analysis, and feasibility studies for system enhancements or new payment solutions
· Collaborate with fraud management teams to identify and address potential payment risks and support fraud detection initiatives
· Assist in creating test cases, validating outcomes, and ensuring alignment with business requirements during the QA process
· Stay updated on payment technologies, trends, and regulatory changes, providing insights to stakeholders
