Description:
Zurich North America is currently hiring a Business Systems Analyst III working out of our Overland, KS office.
The Business Systems Analyst III will support Direct Markets. Direct Markets serves as a leading provider of Property and Casualty (P&C) and Finance and Insurance (F&I) products and services for franchised dealerships and rental operations across the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, elaborate, and document business requirements or user stories.
- Analyze and translate business needs into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with Design / Architectural decisions
- Should be familiar in creating Business process flows, IT data flows and similar artifacts
- Work closely with the development and architecture teams to design robust and scalable systems that meet the business requirements
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project progress and outcomes.
- Work closely with product owner and assist with backlog prioritization and other project management tasks
- Acting as work-stream lead on sub-components of overall project, managing milestones and driving project execution outcomes
- Comfortable with facilitating requirements sessions in person, or in a virtual setting using virtual collaboration and elicitation tools
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area
OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area AND
- Experience with use case development
- Experience with process modeling tools
- Process reengineering; LEAN/Six Sigma experience
- Insurance application system design/analysis experience
- Experience with Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools/techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Jira
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office
- Experience modeling business processes using Mural, Visio, or other business modeling toolset(s).
- Experience using collaboration or facilitation tools such as Mural or MS Whiteboard
- Advanced Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) skills
- Relevant certifications in Business Analysis or related field are a plus (i.e., Certified Business Analyst Professional and PMP)
- Agile Certification – CSM, CPO etc. are a plus
