Here’s how a(n) Business Systems Analyst for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in information management, information technology, business administration, computing science, or a related discipline.
  • Certification from Business Analyst Body of Knowledge (BABOK) or International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), or equivalent preferred.
  • 6 years of progressive experience in a related field.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Knowledge and extensive practical experience with advanced software implementations, software development lifecycle methodologies, business process reengineering, and organizational change management.
  • Proven experience with advanced system troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience with relational database, cloud computing, mobile application delivery, and data integration.
  • Proven ability to understand and interpret stakeholder needs and make recommendations that support the project/solution and company-wide objectives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.

Responsibilities:

  • Elicits, reviews, analyses, manages and validates systems and complex user needs.
  • Documents stakeholder solutions, and transition requirements and gains signoff for complex solutions.
  • Leads the development of use cases that support requirements analysis, functional designs, user acceptance testing, and training materials.
  • Prepares training data and conditions and leads the creation of and updates to training material, and delivers training as required.
  • Works with key stakeholders to influence others in the use of processes and system best practices to maximize system adoption and buy-in.
  • Gathers and analyses system-adoption data and metrics.
  • Supports end users, troubleshoots complex issues, and streamlines service delivery.
  • Documents and gains signoff on current-state business process maps and context diagrams, future-state business process maps, and user acceptance test plans.
  • Analyses complex business problems to identify solutions and makes recommendations for improvement.
