We are actively seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our Information Systems (IS) team in Calgary. Reporting to the Team Lead, Applications and Information Management, this role will assess, design and implement solutions that address business challenges, optimize processes, and improve efficiency.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Evaluate business needs and document the recommended appropriate technology solution.
  • Design, develop, and document solutions to meet business demand.
  • Create solutions architecture for business and IS managed projects.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline business and IS processes. Support and administer the IS change management function.
  • Design and develop data and application integrations. Application and back-end development where required. Create support artifacts for other IS teams.
  • Develop, support, and train on cloud services.
  • Lead and mentor technical staff on the suite of technologies to meet business objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure IS governance practices are well-defined, actionable, and managed.
  • Develop architectural standards that foster integration and long-term sustainability of systems.
  • Provide support for enterprise platforms and services (database, cloud, infrastructure, etc.), including operational management and business connectivity support.

Qualifications Include:

  • Minimum of 10 years information technology experience in a large enterprise environment, oil and gas industry experience an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, or a related discipline. Industry experience will be considered.
  • Preferred certifications include AWS (architecture or development), TOGAF, CBAP or PMI-PBA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to interact with non-technical stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage timelines, resources, and tasks with a deliverable.
  • A strategic mindset to help overcome challenges and conceptualize innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and is a collaborative team player.

Work Environment

  • Based at the Calgary Head Office (TD Canada Trust Tower) during business core hours.
  • Occasional travel to remote offices and field sites may be required.
