JOB OVERVIEW

The British International School Riyadh (BISR) is an extremely well-regarded not-for-profit, co-educational school in the Middle East, catering for students aged 3-18 across seven campuses, providing high-quality education to the expatriate community since 1979. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and as a British School Overseas (BSO). BISR is also a member of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME), the Association of British Schools Overseas (AoBSO), the Heads Conference (HMC) and the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). The school follows the English curriculum, greatly enriched by the local and international context. ‘Al Hamra re: imagined’ is our new project to reinvigorate the existing Al Hamra campus.
Working with world-leading educational architects, Education Design International (EDI) Al Hamra will be an exceptional campus, complementing our other campuses in Riyadh. With refurbishment ongoing through the 2025-6 year, our student enrolments will be capped at approximately 450-500 students from FS1 through to Year 9, with two form entry in most year groups. On completion, the school will host approximately 1200 students (four form entry). We will be offering various pathways through the school, including BTECs at the top end, as well as the traditional A Levels and GCSEs.

BUSINESS STUDIES TEACHER

We seek a lively and dynamic teacher of Business to join our team of hard-working and motivated professionals who work collaboratively to develop the curriculum and provide outstanding learning experiences for our students. Experience teaching Business BTEC will be an advantage. The role also has the potential for a Position of Responsibility as Business Technology Subject Lead and internal verifier.
The successful candidate will be an exemplary practitioner; with demonstrable experience of target setting for students and use of data to develop learning. They must also be committed to the wider life of the school. We are specifically looking for a teacher who is willing to contribute to our three strategic pillars of learning, enrichment and well-being.
