We are expanding our team and currently have an opening for a Business Technology Consultant. He/She will provide strategic IT leadership and guidance to our clients by aligning technology initiatives with business objectives to drive growth, efficiency, and innovation yielding additional revenue for the company and helping increase client retention. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and technical skills, the ability to advise business owners and executives on solving business challenges through the effective use of technology, and is up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
This is a hybrid role with time spent between visiting our clients’ sites, working in our Monroeville office, and working from a home office. The incumbent must live in the Pittsburgh area in order to travel to our office and clients’ sites.
REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the business relationship with clients ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and engagement.
- Grow existing client direct service recurring revenue by expanding value and service.
- Grow existing client direct service non-recurring revenue by expanding the services provided.
- Participates in strategic business discussions with clients, focused on setting clear direction and achieving long term success.
- Assist as needed to resolve client concerns and collection matters.
- Participate in Informational Briefings and other client events, including content selection, scheduling, promotion, registration, presentation, and post-event follow-up.
- Contribute and adhere to the development of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Client Success Department.
- Participate in annual client price increase process.
- Participate in review of clients’ profitability and implementation of any necessary corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement activities for the department, training, hardware, software, vendors, etc.
- Document work performed, including: a detailed description of the work performed, time worked, and any follow-up required.
Preferred candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in the field of business, computers, network administration or Information Technology, or equivalent experience and/or training is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience working with small and mid-size businesses in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business consulting, technical account management, or vCIO duties is preferred
- Strong knowledge of computer networking and computer infrastructure technologies, and computer support needs for small and midsize businesses.
- Sales level experience with remote monitoring and management software, ticketing, and quoting systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software.
- Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with C-level customers and business partners. Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Ability to work independently, but also as a strong supportive team member.
- Ability to handle frequent pressures, including demanding client contact, meeting time deadlines, and multitasking is required.
- Sandler Selling System training, experience and certification is helpful.
- Sales level certifications for various hardware and software products are helpful.
WORK LOCATION AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Location: Regular local car travel in the Greater Pittsburgh area is required. Some work is performed in our Monroeville, PA office. Other work is performed onsite at the offices of our clients or from a home office. A valid driver’s license, a reliable personal vehicle, and a responsible driving record are required.
- Physical Requirements: Normal office and light lifting (lift up to 20 lbs.) are required. The employee frequently is required to sit and stand for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, mouse, telephone and basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see and hear. Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
