JOB DETAILS

We are looking for someone who enjoys communicating, planning and collaborating to provide support to our National Programs Manager at an administrative and operational level to ensure the successful delivery of MIGAS’ program activities nationally.
Key responsibilities include supporting the implementation and delivery of specific programs such as the First Nations Futures: Employment Pathways Program, Women in Trades Programs, Pre-Apprenticeship Programs, School Programs, MiScholarship Program, and Career Expos. The role is key to ensuring the day-to-day administrative activities for these programs are delivered seamlessly.

  • Full time 12-month contract including paid and personal leave
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Access to 1:1 mentoring from the leadership team
  • Flexible, hybrid working - two days working from home

About You

We’re looking for motivated applicants committed to completing a formal qualification in Business Administration as part of this role, plus with:

  • Positive attitude with a desire to learn
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Sound computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Great communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of administrative tasks or prior work experience in an office environment.
  • Exposure to event coordination or participation in school or community events.
  • Ability to multitask with high volume workload
  • Adheres to the values and culture of MIGAS at all times
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check

Responsibilities:

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all program participants, including tracking their progress and connecting with them post-event to monitor outcomes.
  • Handle inquiries from potential program participants, stakeholders, and partners, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Track and report on the progress of program activities.
  • Help organise and attend events such as career expos, presentations, and workshops related to program activities.
  • Liaise with key external stakeholders including secondary schools, industry associations, industry networks.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
