Job Description
AECOM is seeking a dynamic and innovative Design Strategist to join our PPA Studio, with primary locations in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, or Washington D.C. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to work both in-office and remotely, depending on consultation with their supervisor. PPA is a virtually distributed studio that values flexibility and remote engagement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS in a field related to strategy development and/or design plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience conducting space planning/programming and design strategy projects
- Professional experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MA/MS in a field related to strategy development and/or design
- Demonstrated research and analysis abilities (quantitative and/or qualitative)
- Graphic design and visual communication know-how, especially in producing infographics or conceptual illustrations
- Strong writing skills
- Experience with public speaking and/or workshop facilitation
- Familiarity with change management, process design, and/or organizational development
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Teams
- Data analysis using Microsoft Excel
- Virtual collaboration platforms, such as Miro and Mural
- Space and building design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D Studio Max
- Data analytics and visualization programs, such as PowerBI and Tableau
Responsibilities:
TECHNICAL AND ANALYTICAL TASKS:
- Produce surveys, analyze data, and engage in space programming and planning.
- Develop visual communication materials, write reports, and prepare presentations.
- Create and facilitate workshops, develop strategies, and create work plans and task definitions under limited supervision.
