Responsibilities:

Ecophon is part of the global Saint-Gobain Group. Ecophon designs, produces, and sell front end products within sound absorbing systems. The Saint-Gobain Group comprises a number of different companies including the Ecophon products as well as a wide range of other products within the construction industry. Around the world there are a number of Saint-Gobain business units selling this wide range of Saint-Gobain products.
This position has a twofold focus. You will have the leading role in managing the markets where Ecophon currently have a presence through export activities, distributors, and key accounts. You understand the dynamics in different markets and what kind of decisions are required in different settings.
The second part, just as important as the first, is to have the long-term perspective and in collaboration with the management within International Development decide when the export-, distributor-, and key account-activities on a specific market have reached a substantial level and should be more integrated with the Saint-Gobain business units on this market. The position thus has a strong transformational focus developing opportunistic markets (with the required potential) to a market where Ecophon´ s products are integrated in a Saint-Gobain business unit. Within the “transformational focus” you also find the strive to integrate the Ecophon products with the wider Saint-Gobain product range.
The role truly entails both the short- and long-term thinking, moving from the day-to-day sales-oriented decisions where your sales excellence come to play to the more business development “step up on the balcony” perspectives and looking years ahead.
You feel at home in a dynamic environment where a “make it happen” philosophy is strong. Your position will entail a quite diverse set of areas: leadership, sales, business development. This is a position wit a lot of interfaces, and you are highly comfortable in navigating stake holders in a complex international organization.
You manage a team of 12 people and have three direct reporting managers. Your team hold various sales positions (commercial manager, area sales manager, sales coordinator and customer service manager). You report to the International Development Director.
The position is based in Hyllinge outside Helsingborg, at the Ecophon global head quarter, with possibility to work remote. Travelling is included, approximately 30-40 days/year.
