JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Buyer / Expeditor to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and timely delivery of goods to support our innovative projects. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for sustainability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement, buying, or expediting roles.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with procurement software and inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of sustainable practices and a passion for environmental sustainability is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Management:


    • Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for projects.



      • Assist in evaluating supplier quotes and negotiate terms to secure the best value for the company.



        • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors.

        • Expediting:


          • Monitor and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery of vendor documentation, materials and components.



            • Communicate regularly with suppliers to track order status and address any delays or issues.



              • Coordinate with the engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless workflow and project timelines.

              • Inventory Control:


                • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, reorder points, and stock movement.



                  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy.



                    • Assist in the implementation of inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.

                    • Documentation and Reporting:


                      • Prepare and maintain purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement-related documentation.



                        • Generate reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and inventory status.



                          • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
