1. FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- University Degree in Procurement, Economics or Business Administration
- 4+ years of relevant working experience in indirect procurement within a matrix business environment
- Experience in sourcing at least one of the category Utilities or MRO, preferably in regional scope or multisite
- Strong experience in the selection of suppliers (inquiry and negotiation) as well as in the selection, preparation and execution of international commercial agreements.
- Effective participation in cross-functional projects in international environment
- Basic Project management skills
- Leadership capability, executing as appropriate in the areas of responsibility.
- Robust skill on Excel, at least pivot tables and queries
- Basic skills on Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project

- Excellent Communication and influencing skills, as this role has many touch points with both internal and external customers. Ability to work well with diverse users/clients/business partners and team members
- Strong problem solving skills
- Good analytical and conceptual skills particular emphasis on accuracy combined with the ability to drive results

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
The Buyer MRO & FM is a pro-active and result driven change agent and procurement professional. He/She is capable of influencing internal and external network, capturing and shaping ideas, building strategies (including make or buy decisions) and taking full ownership of projects, in order to implement strategies aimed at maximising value for Amcor. The responsibility includes ensuring an uninterrupted supply of quality services and goods at optimum cost, monitoring total cost of ownership and implementing saving/ optimization initiatives. The buyer contributes to the creation and implementation process of the overall Flexibles/ASC strategy and to develop the specific category procurement strategies. The Buyer manages supplier relationships, negotiations, contracting and internal communication, manages change and internal stakeholders, ensuring strategies are being successfully implemented.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategy Deployment
- Contribute to the development and implementation of effective sourcing strategies for the MRO & FM categories in order to ensure quality of services and significant cost reductions
Results Achievement
- Runs tenders or other commercial exercises, provides pricing/ offer, spend analysis in a timely manner as required while creating and maintaining accurate purchasing documents
- Supports the Category Procurement Manager and leads the implementation of Integrated Facility Management (IFM) across the designated area in accordance with agreed roll-out schedule bringing savings and improving transparency and standardization of Facility Management services
- Supports the Category Procurement Manager and leads the implementation the MRO strategy across the designated area.
- Selects, validates and or decides on management approach for vendors with less valued purchases while considering legal aspects of contracts
- Actively supports continuous improvement of European procurement process and relevant IT solutions
- Identifies, evaluates and develops performance indicators to monitor the suppliers’ performance for respective category
- Investigates and analyse the market, new equipment’s, services and solutions available and seek new suppliers who may qualify to do business with Amcor
- Ensures accurate reporting and follow up of savings planned and realized in the category
- Contributes towards Purchasing excellence and customer satisfaction
Negotiation and contract management
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers specifying quality, quantity, delivery schedules other KPIs, etc.
- Manage the key suppliers and regularly review and monitor contract realization and delivery
- Identify and resolve issues or escalate issues, if required
- Ensure transparency in carrying out execution purchasing procedure
- Identify improvements to supplier contracts
