Responsibilities:
- Meet financial goals in margin dollars and category growth as defined annually.
- Identify and work with vendors to negotiate pricing to deliver financial objectives.
- Stay on top of trends and styles by understanding and capitalizing on them, while attending trade shows and industry events (including weekends) to identify opportunities, trends, and newness in the market.
- Develop annual business plans to ensure maximization of categories and new category potentials.
- Analyze item performance and category trends.
- Effectively promote the right products and values.
- Develop creative solutions for cost reduction and continuous improvement of purchasing processes and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with internal key stakeholders.
- Build strong partnership with vendors that work to benefit Tepperman’s
