Job Description
As a Buyer within our Health and Beauty team, you’ll be at the forefront of selecting products that reflect current trends, meet customer demands, and position us as the go-to destination for beauty enthusiasts. You’ll manage supplier relationships, negotiate deals, and work closely with internal teams to ensure our customers always have access to the latest and greatest products. This is a fast-paced role with the opportunity to truly influence the future of our product range.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Building relationships – Collaborate with existing suppliers while scouting for new partnerships that expand and enrich our product portfolio.
  • Strategic negotiation – Use your commercial acumen to negotiate the best deals, securing quality products at competitive prices.
  • Trend tracking – Stay ahead of the curve by analysing market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity, ensuring our range remains fresh and relevant.
  • Collaborative teamwork – Work alongside marketing, merchandising, and supply chain teams to plan product launches and promotional strategies that excite our customers.
  • Category planning – Develop and execute category plans that align with the business goals and deliver strong results.
  • Inventory oversight – Monitor stock levels and collaborate with the supply chain team to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Performance analysis – Keep a close eye on sales performance and adjust the product mix where needed to maximise profitability.
  • Quality control – Ensure all products meet regulatory requirements and maintain the high standards our customers expect.

Qualifications

  • Experience in buying, ideally within the health and beauty sector or a related industry.
  • A strong negotiator with a proven ability to drive cost efficiencies and secure great deals.
  • In-depth understanding of market dynamics, customer preferences, and emerging trends in health and beauty.
  • Commercially savvy, with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • An excellent communicator and relationship builder, both with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Passionate about health and beauty, with an eye for detail and a love for uncovering new trends.
  • Organised, proactive, and ready to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
