Job Summary
Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Buyer/Planner located in Dundalk.
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Specialist, the Buyer/Planner will be responsible for managing the planning and buying of key products on site with close collaboration with the Projects, Production and Procurement teams to ensure smooth execution of all appropriate KPI’s. The role will encapsulate all tactical activities across the Supply chain from Planning to Invoice reconciliation.
This role requires the management of a stable process supported by a flexible, collaborate, multi-skilled teamwork environment. Close collaboration with multiple site functions (e.g. Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Sales and Engineering)
The Planner/ Buyer will partake in the daily Materials Requirements Planning Process, ensuring production needs are met through the Master Production Schedule (MPS), on time delivery (in full and expected quality) of a select Product Family.
What a typical day looks like:
- Full Order lifecycle responsibility for a range of Product families
- Meet all KPI’s targets
- Support Supply Chain function for raw material requirements through to Finished Goods
- Procurement of key raw materials and packaging components to support plant production
- Process purchase requisitions in line with MPS targets dates
- Expediting / de-expediting Work/ purchase orders
- Providing accurate weekly information to vendors
- Support Procurement of Capital and Indirect materials
- Tactical Vendor relationship Management with vendors,
- Ensuring MRP records are accurate and updated as required to reflect the Master Data accuracy of all managed commodities
- Manage Production Order Planning
- Execute tasks as directed by your Line Manager
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 months of procurement experience
- Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, as well as ten-key, spreadsheet (PC) and ERP software
- Ideally studying IIPMM/APICS
- Ability to act as a Team player, or independently, and with multiple activities
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of MRP
