Description:
The Buyer/Purchasing Specialist will be tasked with the procurement of materials and services for Optomec machines and parts. The role involves maintaining and reviewing purchasing files, monitoring inventory, tracking the status of requisitions, contracts and orders, and ensuring correct and quality delivery from suppliers. The specialist will be checking inventory levels, executing necessary procurement actions, and working with various teams to forecast needs. A significant part of the role involves negotiating for best pricing, comparing prices, specifications, and delivery dates from various suppliers to ascertain the best options. The specialist will also process cost calculations, prepare and distribute purchase orders, and handle supplier bills. Prospective candidates require a high school diploma (though a bachelor’s degree is preferred), at least two years’ experience in a similar role, strong negotiation skills, as well as proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Office. Excellent skills in customer service, problem-solving, data analysis, and decision-making are key to success in this role. Apply today!
