Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Revolution Space is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to enhance our procurement and purchasing operations. In this role, you will oversee procurement activities essential to our space-bound projects, managing supplier relationships and optimizing cost, quality, and timelines. Your efforts will directly contribute to the success of our pioneering projects and technology.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience with Procurify.com or similar procurement software: Familiarity with procurement software and understanding of best practices for software-based purchasing.
- Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis with Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills for managing supplier communications and procurement records.
- Communication and Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Self-motivated: A proactive, driven individual with a commitment to deadlines and continuous process improvement.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Aerospace/Defense or Manufacturing experience
Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from vendor selection to purchase order management and order tracking.
- Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring alignment with Revolution Space’s quality standards and operational timelines.
- Purchase Tracking and Inventory Coordination: Manage purchase orders and inventory levels, collaborating with inventory and production teams to meet material needs.
- Cost Optimization: Conduct cost analyses and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, seeking opportunities for savings without compromising quality.
- Quality Assurance: Partner with the quality control team to ensure all purchased items meet our standards and specifications.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Prepare reports to monitor procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost variances, providing insights to management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement with budget and project needs.
