Description:

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Buyer based in Northern Kentucky. This role revolves around the procurement of goods and services for our organization, ensuring the quality and reliability of supplies while optimizing costs. You will be working in a dynamic environment where strategic focus, relationship building, and effective communication are key.

Responsibilities:

  • Streamline the purchasing process to minimize expenses and ensure the reliability and quality of goods and services.
  • Manage Purchase Orders, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries are made.
  • Evaluate company requirements such as quantity and specifications, and place orders with suitable vendors who offer optimal pricing.
  • Develop procurement strategies to consolidate needs and maximize company savings.
  • Handle contract development, pricing negotiations, and order placements to meet customer needs.
  • Accelerate the order process, focusing on enhancing supplier service levels and punctual delivery.
  • Respond promptly to manufacturing, engineering, and office requests arising from supplier-related issues.
  • Maintain accuracy and promptness of information within business systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with the accounts team and other buyers to rectify inconsistencies between data on purchase orders and supplier’s invoices.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and enforce permanent corrective solution
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a buyer role or similar position
  • Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Epicor software
  • Familiarity with ERP Solutions and About Time software
  • Capable of performing accounting functions and handling accounts payable (AP)
  • Experience in buying processes, including planning, selecting, and purchasing quality products
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to network and build relationships with suppliers
  • Proven track record of managing and organizing financial budgets.
