We are offering a role in the Manufacturing industry in NORTH TONAWANDA, New York, United States for a skilled Buyer. This position is crucial in the procurement and management of resources for our production processes. The role provides a short term contract employment opportunity where you will be instrumental in ensuring efficient buying processes and managing ERP solutions.

• Utilize knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions to facilitate purchasing processes.
• Leverage IBM AS/400 and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze purchasing data.
• Use Microsoft Office Suites for efficient management of daily tasks and communication.
• Employ the ‘About Time’ tool for effective time management and work planning.
• Oversee buying processes, ensuring they are efficient and cost-effective.
• Participate in component selection, ensuring the best quality materials for our manufacturing processes.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to internal and external inquiries.
• Collaborate with different departments to understand their needs and ensure timely provision of required materials.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the manufacturing industry to make informed buying decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department.
• Candidate must have proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 is necessary
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites is required
• Experience with About Time software is a plus
• Must have a thorough understanding of Buying Processes
• Experience in Component Selection in a manufacturing setting is crucial
• Strong Customer Service skills are required
• Previous experience in a Manufacturing industry is preferred.
