We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Buyer in the Medical Devices industry located in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will be part of our team, working to ensure the efficient and effective procurement of goods and materials, utilizing your skills in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), customer service and manufacturing processes.

• Utilize ERP solutions to streamline and automate the buying processes.
• Regularly interact with suppliers, maintaining strong relationships and negotiating contracts.
• Use Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suites to maintain records and analyze buying trends.
• Select components for purchases, ensuring they meet the specifications and standards required.
• Leverage the IBM AS/400 system for data processing and inventory management.
• Use your skills in customer service to resolve any issues or inquiries related to procurement.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Implement the ‘About Time’ system to improve efficiency in procurement processes.
• Continually evaluate supplier performance, ensuring they meet our quality and delivery requirements.
• Proficiency in using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
• Experience with IBM AS/400
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites
• Familiarity with About Time software
• Understanding of Buying Processes and Component Selection
• Exceptional Customer Service skills
• Experience in the Medical Devices industry
• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes
