THE ROLE & THE TEAM
As a Buyer for Women Training, you are part of a high performing and target driven team. Through the industry knowledge and passion for sports you are creating new and innovative ways to connect with consumers whilst delivering strong results. You drive the Women Training business with ownership and accountability of unit KPIs, in close collaboration with your Merchandising counterpart. You develop and implement assortment strategies for your portfolio and actively contribute to setting and delivering unit strategy and targets. You use your strong negotiation skills to deliver success to your unit and to meet the ambitious company’s growth plans. You proactively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders of all levels. You establish and reinforce mutually beneficial, trusting relationships through clear and respectful communication while focusing on business strategy priorities and enabling business solutions.
WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
- Proactive ownership of your portfolio, reporting into the unit lead determining the strategic direction of your assortment, identifying trends and newness, sourcing new brands, negotiating the best terms for Zalando.
- Together with merchandising, being responsible for defining your brands seasonal strategy and beyond including budget and assortment planning, whilst consulting the unit owner and strategically important stakeholders. In season monitoring of the OTB and reviewing the performance of your brands, making recommendations and taking action based on valid numbers.
- Maintaining and developing excellent relationships with our external brand partners, always challenging and evolving business to support the Category and Zalando strategy.
- Constant exchange with other departments like marketing, content, photo production and logistics and overarching buying teams is key to your work. You will work cross functionally to drive sales and maximize profit, and ensure we act in line with the whole organization.
