JOB SUMMARY

Within the Finance & Supplier Management, Supplier Management is the purchasing function responsible for sourcing, contracting and managing the supplier base for Tetra Pak Processing and Packaging Solutions.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our procurement team. In this position, you will manage the purchasing process, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of material and services in close collaboration with our business stakeholders and in alignment with our procurement category strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
This position will be located in Italy either in Modena (preferred) or Rubiera office but your scope will have a Market Area reach in EMEA, South Europe which includes Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Malta and Israel markets with frequent interactions with international stakeholders

Responsibilities:

  • Drive sourcing and contracting based on business need in line with supplier management strategies
  • Ensure that the procurement organization is involved in the early stages of the commercial opportunities to improve Tetra Pak’s competitiveness.
  • Be responsible for cost, quality, delivery and overall financial performance of external suppliers’ scope versus budget on assigned projects
  • Drive compliance to category strategy, supplier base plan, supplier management processes, contracts and best practices.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their products and services.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track deliveries, and communicate with suppliers to resolve any issues or delays.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as production, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure procurement aligns with business needs.
  • Assist in supplier evaluation, performance tracking, and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Stay updated with market trends, industry regulations, and best practices in procurement.
  • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management relationships

You will support PSE CE Projects as well by:

  • Identifying suppliers, drive pre-projects and project sourcing and contracts in line with supplier management strategies based on business needs and according to technical specifications and conditions in the projects;
  • Driving compliance to category strategy, supplier base plan, supplier management processes, contracts, and best practices;
  • Ensuring correct usage of relevant tools, qualify potential suppliers, request and evaluate inquiries and quotations;
  • Supporting Commercial Project Leader/Project Administrators in purchase-related issues and share good practices and facilitate networking on site;
  • Collaborating with Supplier Quality Engineering in order to manage and optimize the supplier base providing technical support and coordinating internal and external suppliers.
