Description:

DESCRIPTION:

The Buyer Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the purchasing and inventory management activities to ensure optimal stock levels, effective vendor relationships, and successful merchandising strategies. This role involves supervising staff, managing pricing and promotions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. The Buyer Supervisor also collaborates with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and maximize profitability.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administrative or any relevant field
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (Bilingual)
  • Negotiation skills, presentation skills, communication skills, Analytical Skills and well versed in MS office.
  • Familiarity with procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP)

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage and losses.
  • Negotiate prices, discount terms with vendors and delivery scheduling based on sales trends.
  • Create and set up visual displays to attract customers and ensure merchandise is appealing and organized marketing to design engaging promotions.
  • Set and update prices per market and company policies using pricing strategies to boost sales and profit.
  • Monitor and analyze sales records, trends, or economic conditions to anticipate consumer buying patterns, company sales, and needed inventory.
  • Train and supervise sales associates and stock clerks with sitting goals and provide feedback to ensure staff know products and sales techniques.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns about merchandise while ensuring staff provides excellent service with gathering customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Plan and coordinate promotions, sales events, and product launches with collaborating with marketing teams to create effective campaigns.
  • Monitor the success of promotions and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics: Identify trends and areas for improvement in sales performance.
  • Generate detailed reports on inventory levels, sales, and other key metrics.
  • Utilize data-driven decisions to optimize merchandise assortment and pricing strategies.
  • Implement safety measures for merchandise handling and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Communicate with departments like marketing, sales, and finance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Providing regular updates to management on merchandising performance and initiatives.
