Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Junior Buying Administrator, you will be an essential part of the Buying and Merchandising team, responsible for supporting day-to-day operations, assisting with stock management, product sourcing, and trend forecasting. You will liaise closely with our fulfilment centre, retail stores, and suppliers, ensuring that stock levels are maintained, and products are delivered on time. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and creation of new collections.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: At least 1 year
  • of experience in a buying, merchandising, or administrative role within the fashion industry. Experience or a strong interest in jewellery is preferred.
  • Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for creating product presentations, trend boards, and collection materials.
  • Strong understanding of trend forecasting, product analysis, and market research.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with different departments (retail, fulfilment, design) and manage external relationships with suppliers.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

  • Stock Management & Order Processing:
  • Support in managing stock levels, product ordering, and inventory across various fashion and jewellery categories.
  • Liaise with retail stores to monitor stock levels and raise weekly orders to maintain optimal inventory.
  • Assist in stock transfers between stores, warehouses, and fulfilment centres to ensure stock availability.
  • Identify and resolve any stock issues with the fulfilment centre, such as delays or discrepancies in shipments.
  • Trend Forecasting & Analysis:
  • Conduct trend forecasting and analysis to provide insights for future buying decisions.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify potential opportunities for the brand.
  • Assist in maintaining trend boards and product presentations using Adobe and Photoshop.
  • Supplier & Fulfilment Coordination:
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries and quality control.
  • Work closely with the fulfilment centre to troubleshoot and resolve any product or stock issues.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing and stock tracking for each order and shipment.
  • Product Research & Design Creation:
  • Assist in researching and sourcing new products for upcoming collections.
  • Participate in the design and creation process of new collections, contributing creative ideas and trend insights.
  • Help prepare design briefs and sample reviews in collaboration with the design team.
  • Reporting & Data Management:
  • Prepare and analyse regular stock, sales, and trend reports using Excel to provide insights to the Buying team.
  • Maintain and update product databases, ensuring product information is accurate and aligned with the brand’s standards.
