Description:
The Buzz Squeak Rattle (BSR) engineer will be responsible to test, root cause and provide technical solutions for BSR issues. Vehicles test execution will include evaluation of full running vehicles on a Stellantis BSR Track, 4-Post shaker, as well as static evaluations. The issues will be documented in the Global Issues Management System (GIMS) and support provided to the Product Engineering teams for containment and permanent fix validation. The engineer will lead the development of BSR activities from design through launch of various vehicle platforms. Responsibilities include leadership of the assembly plant based Quality Team for BSR (Q-Team). The selected candidate must have a strong hands-on background, with a passion for vehicle level testing and be able to interface with many groups within the company.
- Bachelors of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Minimum 1+ years in vehicle and component TESTING (hardware) with demonstrated capabilities in root cause analysis problem solving and recommending technical solutions.
- Buzz Squeak Rattle (BSR) Vehicle level development background.
- Experience with single and multi-axis shakers.
- Experience with MTS Vehicle level simulator/shakers.
- High mechanical aptitude is mandatory.
- Ability to work in a team environment mandatory.
- Strong fundamentals of vehicle and component interactions
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Previous plant launch experience
- Previous releasing and or testing background
- Experience with Squadriga measurement equipment
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:
- Will be required to drive a company car. Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.
