Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a qualified individual to join the C-17 Engine Management team in support of the C-17 Globemaster Contract. The position will require the individual selected to be part of a team of multiple disciplined personnel performing and coordinating technical tasks associated with F-117 Engine Management, Configuration Control and Engine Health Monitoring in support of the C-17 Program.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 1+ years’ experience of acting directly with USAF and Foreign Military Sales customers and internal/external overhaul and depot repair organizations and technical support personnel.
- Required to be customer focused, able to effectively communicate and interface with multiple Air Force customers at various levels to support mission requirements.
- Must have the ability to analyze data and communicate to the customer.
- Must have well developed communications skills, both oral and written. Must have well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Ability to search, sort, and combine multiple data elements from USAF databases into Excel worksheets, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents and Acrobat documents.
- Ability to work with and utilize USAF mainframe and workstation database systems.
- Ability to complete necessary duties utilizing: USAF Technical Orders, Air Force Instructions, USAF supplied software documentation and Boeing Operating Instructions (OI’s) and Desk Instructions (DI’s).
- 1+ years ‘experience with specialized knowledge of USAF C-17 engine maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year’s related work experience, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Processing and analysis of Quick Access Recorder (QAR) data, technical evaluations of the engine configuration, condition and status, defining engine maintenance requirements; engine database(s) reconciliation; preparation of engine health data reports and presentations; preparation and completion of Department of Defense (DoD) and United States Air Force (USAF) configuration management documentation.
- Extensive use of DoD and USAF electronic databases, Microsoft Office, and USAF supplied electronic applications.
- Develops in-service correspondence on complex multi discipline systems for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Travel and support of on-call 24/7 off hours/weekend operations are required as necessary.
- Possibility of alternate work schedules.
- Ability to obtain DoD System Access to DoD/USAF databases.
