Description:

Fort St. John Co-op is hiring a C-Store Manager to manage day to day operations at our Cardlock and C-Store located at 10808 – 91st Avenue, Fort St. John, BC.

WHO YOU ARE:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

  • You have completed Grade 12.
  • You have 6 – 9 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • You have 3+ years of experience leading 5 or more employees.
  • Are highly proficient on Windows computers, and have experience using Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Are knowledgeable about provincial employment standards and regulations.
  • Are experienced in developing and achieving departmental goals.
  • Are comfortable leading a team and providing daily guidance and direction.
  • Believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver meaningful solutions, valuing diverse perspectives.
  • Are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive for excellence in all you do.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the oversight and management of the C-Store & Cardlock by demonstrating the following abilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Establish short-term goals and objectives aligned with the business’s strategic plan.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team to meet brand, merchandising, marketing, financial, and safety standards.
  • Employee Development: Provide daily guidance, performance management, and support for team growth and development.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure profitable operations with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Vendor Relations: Follow purchasing and marketing guidelines, maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all regulations, policies, and procedures, including environmental, health & safety and loss prevention policies.
