WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Coulson Aviation (USA) has an opening for a C130 Crew Chief in the Little Rock, AK area, however we encourage candidates from other locations to apply as this is a fly-in/fly-out position.
We operate a fleet of aircraft that includes: 737, C130, S61, S76, UH60, and CH47 aircraft, primarily in a firefighting capacity. We offer industry competitive pay ($115,000 - $140,000/year) benefits, travel, lodging, per diem, and health insurance. At Coulson we run rotational shifts based on equal time on and off, and no requirement to relocate.
The Crew Chief is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of airworthiness are met. The incumbent will be provided assigned aircraft by the Fleet Manager or DOM and is responsible for assigned teams for the aircraft.
We are searching for a hardworking candidate with very strong attention to detail. You have previous C130 experience at a minimum. You also have excellent knowledge of Lockheed Maintenance programs or willing to learn, and heavy check experience is desirable. Field experience as a flight mechanic will also be an asset, but not necessary. Pride in workmanship for carrying our critical missions, on tight deadlines is what we do!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Crew Chief experience preferred.
  • A&P license.
  • Willingness to also obtain CDL Class A license.
  • Previous crew lead hand experience in maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility or similar responsibility.
  • Experience overseeing all maintenance tasks, ensuring they are performed and carried out in accordance with the applicable regulatory company manual and established legislative requirements.
  • Experience managing parts provisioning and pre-ordering to ensure all mx items are taken care of.
  • Specific knowledge of troubleshooting complex systems and performing post maintenance checks.
  • In-depth knowledge of ground support equipment and operational specific equipment.
  • College education, military or Gen Fam courses are an asset.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical publications.
  • Must have own basic hand tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outgoing, professional, hardworking knowledgeable team player.
  • Background check required.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead assigned personnel for aircraft.
  • Perform the incoming review to identify, control, segregate and maintain all materials (including raw materials and parts) according to the manufacturer’s requirements or standard industry practices.
  • Carry out final inspection and Maintenance Release for all assigned work carried out within the scope of their authorization(s) on aeronautical products prior to return to service.
  • Ensure that work sheets, logs, tracking updates, and other required records are complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment meet calibration and storage requirements and are in good working order, including operational equipment.
  • Interact and laisse with agencies as the aircraft maintenance representative as required.
  • Maintain company owned equipment, and self-image to meet the standards set by the company.
