Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Cabin Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that rental cabins at Northern Meadows Golf Club are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards for guests. You will be tasked with preparing cabins for new guests, ensuring all amenities are in place, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the property. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Please note this is a seasonal position starting Spring of 2025.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality (preferred, but not required).
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, techniques, and equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills to interact with guests, staff, and management.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. (e.g., linens, cleaning supplies).
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions if cleaning exterior areas (porches, patios, etc.).
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and during peak seasons.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to bend, kneel, lift, and carry items such as linens, cleaning supplies, and trash bags.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time while performing cleaning tasks.
- Comfortable working in different temperatures, including hot or cold weather when cleaning outdoor areas or cabins.

Responsibilities:
Cabin Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize all areas of rental cabins, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and porches.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and wipe down all surfaces to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
- Change bed linens, replace towels, and ensure all amenities (soap, shampoo, etc.) are stocked and replenished.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch areas such as light switches, door handles, remote controls, and faucets.
Inventory Management:
- Check and replenish cabin supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, dishwashing supplies, etc.).
- Report any missing or damaged items to a manager.
- Ensure that all necessary items such as extra pillows, blankets, and kitchen utensils are available for guests.
Special Requests and Set-Up:
- Set up cabins for special occasions, groups, or events as requested by guests or management.
- Ensure that cabins are stocked with all necessary amenities based on guest preferences or package requirements (e.g., extra towels, baby cribs, etc.).
Laundry:
- Collect used linens and towels from cabins and transport them to the laundry area.
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize linens and towels according to the facility’s laundry procedures.
- Ensure that all linens are properly cleaned and sanitized for the next guest’s use.
Cabin Inspections:
- Conduct thorough inspections of cabins to ensure they meet the cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Report any maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing problems, broken furniture, appliance malfunctions) to management for repair.
Guest Safety and Comfort:
- Ensure that cabins are free from hazards and safe for guests to use.
- Check that all windows, doors, and locks are secure and functioning properly.
- Adjust heating or air conditioning settings as needed to ensure comfort before guests arrive.
Trash Removal:
- Empty trash cans from cabins and dispose of waste in the appropriate outdoor bins.
- Sort recyclable materials from regular waste in preparation to take them to a recycling area.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other housekeeping staff, property management, and maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective cabin turnover.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure that cabins are ready for guests on schedule.
- Assist with special projects or tasks as requested by management.
General Maintenance and Organization:
- Keep the housekeeping supply area organized and ensure that cleaning supplies are properly stocked.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and using cleaning products according to manufacturer guidelines.
