FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Unique Kitchen Craft is seeking highly motivated Cabinet Installer to join our team. As a Cabinet Installer, you will play a crucial role in our installation service business, with a primary focus on cabinet construction and installation. In addition to cabinet work, you may also be involved in other aspects of carpentry and woodworking projects.
Responsibilities:
- Install custom kitchen cabinets, vanities, and other millwork with precision and attention to detail, ensuring a perfect fit and finish.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and installation instructions to ensure accurate and high-quality installations.
- Measure and mark installation areas according to design specifications, making adjustments as necessary on-site to achieve proper fit.
- Secure cabinets to walls, floors, and other structures, ensuring stability, alignment, and structural integrity.
- Collaborate with clients, designers, and project managers to address any installation concerns or modifications required on-site.
- Operate tools such as drills, saws, and other carpentry equipment to complete installations efficiently.
- Perform site clean-up after installations, ensuring that the workspace is left tidy and free of debris.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while working on client sites.
- Inspect completed installations to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with materials or designs to management to facilitate prompt resolutions.
- Assist with the unloading and handling of materials on-site as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cabinet or millwork installation.
- Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to site-specific conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Good physical stamina, as the role involves lifting, standing, and working in various positions for extended periods.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
- Experience in installing custom cabinetry in high-end residential or commercial projects is an asset.
- 1 to 2 of unpaid training days.
