Cabinetmaker
Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can work within with all aspects of cabinetmaking and millwork. We are a fast-paced company with high-expectations, we are seeking someone who is as passionate about the work as we are. This position will be responsible for knowing and practicing safe working methods, and have a strong knowledge of shop practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, quality control and safety equipment.

Responsibilities:

• The ability to follow blueprints and building plans
• Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materials, using hand and power tools
• Sound knowledge of woodworking tools and methods of all aspects of cabinetmaking, from building of large structures to finer store fixtures and custom assets
• Laminating components with the use of various spray adhesives and contact cements
• Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, as well as use hand tools, to cut, shape and form parts and components
• Examine detailed drawings or specifications to find material and equipment requirements
• Must be able to lift 60lbs
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
• Experience in installation of elements for the trade show industry and larger interior and exterior projects
• Skills:
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment
• Experience with routine maintenance operations
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Able to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

Qualifications:Job Type:

• 5 years minimum experience as a cabinetmaker in manufacturing or related industry
• A desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• Must be legal to work in Canada with supporting documentation
• No criminal record. Background checks will be performed

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
