CABINET & MILLWORK OPERATIONS MANAGER

Our team is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Cabinet and Millwork Assistant Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our production processes, team performance, and customer delivery.
The Cabinet and Millwork Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operations within the cabinet and millwork installation division. This role encompasses leadership over production, quality control, materials management, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of woodworking techniques, production management, and a proven track record in improving operational efficiencies and maintaining high-quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role within the cabinet making or millwork industry.
- Strong knowledge of cabinet and millwork manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the cabinet and millwork production, including planning, scheduling, and execution of manufacturing processes to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop the production team, including setting performance standards, conducting reviews, and facilitating professional development.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and through enhancements using lean manufacturing principles.
- Safety Management: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety policies, conducting regular safety audits, and promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Oversee materials inventory, procurement, and supply chain activities to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
- Customer Liaison: Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure customer requirements are met and to resolve any issues related to product quality or delivery.
- Budget and Cost Control: Manage the division’s budget, monitor operational expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.
