We are looking for a Cabinetmaker to join our team to help us to continue delivering high quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities:

The tasks and duties performed by the cabinetmaker include:

  • Reviewing blueprints, job orders, and sample components to identify requirements.
  • Choosing and utilizing materials like timber, veneers, particle board, and engineered wood.
  • Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood.
  • Creating furniture based on designs and detailed instructions.
  • Crafting fixtures for boats, caravans, and other objects requiring precision.
  • Constructing parts to build sections of furniture and final products.
  • Installing hinges, locks, latches, drawers, and shelves.
  • Building frames for chairs and sofas.
  • Potentially repairing and restoring furniture and antiques.

Skills Required:

Successful applicants must have:

  • Education and Training: Completion of a relevant apprenticeship or trade school program.
  • Experience: Proven experience in cabinetmaking or carpentry.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Expertise in using woodworking tools and machinery.
  • Ability to measure, cut, and assemble wood with precision.
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in work.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the construction process.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety standards and practices in woodworking.
