Haldane (UK) have an exciting opportunity for a skilled CAD/CAM Designer/Programmer to join their growing team.
Our projects include contemporary staircases and bespoke handrails, ranging from private homes to large public & private buildings. We also take on various restoration projects.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team at Haldane (UK).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed CAD designs for various projects, ensuring high standards of accuracy and quality.
  • Designing & creating CAM programs for projects on a laser cutter.
  • Create efficient CAM programs to support CNC machining processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the design and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to design or CNC operations.
  • Maintain and update design files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CAD/CAM Designer/Programmer
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Powershape) and CAM software (e.g., Powermill) a list of their operating programs is below if any of the others apply.
  • Relative experience in using a laser cutter would be a benefit.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
