With manufacturing facilities in Toronto Ontario, Maxxit specializes in design assist, project management, and fabrication of innovative interior and exterior architectural solutions.
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Maxxit Group is currently looking for an experienced full time CAD Designer to oversee a large roll out of custom cabinet systems. This role is pivotal to our success and the ideal candidate would be working with a high-volume client and have experience reading, reviewing, and marking up architectural drawings. The incumbent would be expected to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain all drawings and CAD documentation for a minimum of 5 store locations per week.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Review and markup client architectural drawings with Project Manager.
- Assign projects to CAD Engineers with resources to meet tight deadlines.
- Provide all documents and direction to CAD Engineer.
- Review drawings that come back from Engineer and markup as necessary.
- Drawing store layouts if required.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering; or project management certificate from a recognized institution.
- Three to five years of proven engineering and project management experience; preferably with Civil, Structural, or Architectural background.
- Three to five years experience using drafting software; SolidWorks would be preferred.
- Cabinet System Design and implementation experience.
- Proven attention to detail with an engineering and design mindset.
- Ability to schedule and manage resources proactively and efficiently.
- Strong stakeholder engagement with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams, 3rd party contractors, and vendors.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in use of MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and Smart Sheet.
