DESCRIPTION

In this role you will support parasitic resistance and capacitance extraction for complex IC circuits across multiple technologies. Advanced process technologies access will help you understand and explore ways for extraction accuracy and reduction efficiency. Through understanding the RC extraction impact on various kinds of simulations, you will improve CAD flow methodology and guide design optimization. Design automation is the ultimate goal and you will use circuit design knowledge and programming skills to implement prototype and final solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At the end of the internship, you must return to school to continue your education or the internship must be the last requirement for you to graduate.
  • Basics of analog / RF circuit designs
  • Programming in Perl and/or Python
  • English language fluency (written and verbal)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiar with circuit design flow including LVS, parasitic and simulation
  • Used extraction tools like StarRC or QRC
  • Ability to Generate, Interpret and Present complex data, graphs, plots
