Description:
Qiddiya Investment Company is on the lookout for a detail-orientated and technically skilled CAD specialist to join our City Transport team. In this role, you will be responsible for CAD initiatives within the Qiddiya project, which aims to create the world’s premier entertainment and cultural destination in Saudi Arabia. Your expertise in CAD for Rail projects will be crucial in driving sustainable and effective transportation solutions.
As the CAD Lead Manager, you will oversee all computer-aided design (CAD) operations for the Primary Urban Axis Project, Qiddiya’s fully autonomous rail system providing connectivity across Qiddiya. Your work will focus on developing designs, collaborating with various consultants, stakeholders, and internal teams, to drive forward a successful solution.
Responsibilities:
- Create and design 2D drawings and 3D models for all aspects of stations, alignment, depots, and associated infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical components into cohesive designs.
- Ensure designs align with project objectives, safety standards, sustainability and customer experience requirements.
- Ensure designs align with Qiddiya Digital Engineering standards, requirements, and objectives.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve design inconsistencies in coordination with other project teams.
- Foster collaboration among internal teams to maintain design quality and consistency.
- Integrate innovative technologies and sustainable practices into the design process.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years hands-on experience in CAD Design, preferably in infrastructure or transportation projects
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in 2D and 3D design development.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCad, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar CAD software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively present to various levels of the business.
- Excellent technical drafting and visualisation skills
- Certification in CAD tools is desirable.
