CAD Operator/Draftsman

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Responsible for drafting and quantifying flooring and staircase requirement as per the provided drawing by using computer-aided design working simultaneously on different projects.
2. Laying out floor patterns in drawing per selected product for client approval and/or preparing floor shop drawings if required, coordinating with estimators and project managers with the technical requirements.
3. Assigned to prepare complete concept drawings for design approval and contractor perusal for Floor world’s new or to-renovate showrooms and warehouse. Report directly to the CEO and General Manager for the showroom and warehouse design requirements and coordinate with the assigned Project Manager for site assessments.
4. Tasked in preparing warranty void letters for management review and approval when documentation is required via requests from the installations or sales department.
5. Support Estimations Department with prior booking estimators’ calendar and meetings for site visits, site inspections, case inspections, quality inspections and others by arranging schedules with the clients. Ensuring that an estimator’s calendar is filled in advance for the day’s work.
6. Liaise with the Estimations Department and Customer Service to attend to any in coming complaints, raise them in the system and arrange accordingly for inspections.
7. Analysing case inspection report, providing summary and raise further actions required, encouraging expedition of the rectification procedures by coordinating with various departments.

EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge in AutoCAD to create Plans, elevations and simple sections – Take Dimensions Point to Point, etc.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with CAD and related software.
• Fluency in English and excellent communication skills
  Head office based: Monday – (Alternate Saturday) - 8 am - 5pm

• Flooring Industry: 1 year (Required)
• Draughtsman: 3 years (Required)
