Job Description
In this busy, sole charge position, you’ll bridge our IT team of 10 and our engineers, ensuring seamless operation of our CAD, PLM and related systems. A background in Design Engineering is highly desirable but PLM experience is critical. While technical backup will be available, you will manage the following tasks:
- Administer and maintain Temperzone Autodesk suite, in particular Vault (our PLM system)
- Provide recommendations for CAD process and design process optimization
- Implement approved custom code and config recommendations
- Develop and deliver CAD user training programs
- Make recommendations for CAD software/hardware and related IT infrastructure, and conduct testing and verification of new software/hardware, including upgrades
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role with an Engineering degree
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor Pro and Vault Professional
- Experience in a connected factory production environment and knowledge of production systems and BOM systems
- Strong project management skills preferred
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Java, Visual Basic, HTML, XML, CNC production machine programming, and sheet-metal related industries advantageous
