Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The CAD Designer is responsible for supporting the design aspects for the new construction of our Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facilities. In this role you will work closely with our Engineers, Construction team and Management to draft full drawing sets that will be used for permitting and construction. For this In-Office position, the ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills, eager to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required.
- Associate degree in computer-aided drafting.
- 3+ years of equivalent experience required for this position.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
- Experience with creating and reading CAD drawings in AutoCad.
- Working knowledge of BlueBeam Revu is a plus.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Willingness to travel to all IGS facilities from time to time.
- Has a strong adherence to safety protocols.
- Can successfully contribute both as an individual and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 2D CAD drawings for CNG station layouts and biogas digester systems
- Produce schematics, isometric drawings, and blueprints as needed.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into designs.
- Ensure design feasibility, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
- Adapt designs based on specific site conditions, including space constraints and local regulations.
- Prepare bill of materials (BOM) and technical documentation for procurement and installation teams.
- Collaborate with external vendors on design and drawing sets as required.
- Create and maintain a library of design standards and templates for recurring projects.
- Revise and update drawings as changes occur during project execution.
- Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD) to produce high-quality designs.
- Identify design challenges and propose innovative solutions to optimize efficiency and functionality.
- Ability to create and maintain As-Built drawings during construction with the support of project managers, superintendents, and other team members.
- Contribute to improving design processes and workflows, incorporating best practices to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Other engineering or construction related duties as needed from time to time.
