Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
Here at The Exploration Company we are developing the next generation of European High Thrust Engine.
We want you as a talented CAD Design Technician to help us in our mission by supporting our Development Engineers on designing Engine subsystems and components.

You will be successful in this role if you are able to help us:

• Build the CAD physical model of Engine sub-systems
• Maturate the CAD models by adjusting the architecture, and accommodation based on system trades and components feedback
• Define the volume allocations and clearances specifications towards the engine subsystems
• Prepare CAD models and drawings for preparing manufacturing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In your capacity as CAD Design Technician, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Contributing to the choices in terms of overall architecture, equipment accommodation, and main materials
• Collaborating closely with thermal and structural analysts, materials, and manufacturing engineers to ensure compliance of the physical architecture with the spacecraft architecture, the system environments, and manufacturing constraints
• Ensuring the configuration management of the CAD models
• Managing the mass budget aided by the CAD model, and tracked in the overall system database
• Contributing to co-engineering sessions with the engine subsystems development team by sharing guidelines or orders of magnitude in order to converge on the feasibility of a solution, based on engineering feeling or a simplified analytical approach
• Contributing to the improvement of CAD tools and processes

In the role of CAD Design Technician ideally, you will have the following:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in CAD design
• Experience with CAD software (NX, CATIA, Solidworks…)
• Strong knowledge of rocket engine combustion device design or equivalent is an asset
• Experience in Additive Manufacturing is an asset
• Fluent in English. Italian is an asse
