Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Café Assistant to work at Forest Lake Gardens Retirement Village in Hamilton. You will provide Barista and Café services in our established café. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager you will be providing exceptional service to our Residents and their friends while also helping provide a great dining experience!
Some of the great things you will be doing:
- Taking food and beverage orders from our residents, visitors and staff
- Making amazing cups of coffee
- Serving and collecting meals in our café
- Operating the cash register
- General cleaning including café equipment and cutlery
- Additional Kitchen duties as and when require
You will have exceptional customer service skills, enjoy giving service with a smile and can effortlessly juggle several tasks at once. With some barista experience, some things that will support your application include:
- Impeccable personal presentation
- Mature and reliable with exceptional communication skills
- A good command of spoken and written English
- A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (not essential) as well as and/or commercial kitchen experienc
